The fun starts with our Super Super Cute Crochet Weekend , Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 August, with Amigurumi expert Brigitte Read (see below). These beginners workshops will teach you how to make your own Super Super cute creatures! See below for more details and times!

Why not kick off the festival with us on Saturday 7 August and Sunday 8 August and learn to make one of Brigitte Read's famous crocheted characters from her new book 'Super Super Cute Crochet'!
These workshops are suitable for anyone over the age of 10 and like all of our workshops and classes, everything is provided! You will get all of the materials and your own crochet hook to keep. You will love this beginner crochet workshop and best of all NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!! This is for absolute beginners, although we think that all crocheters will love to make these super SUPER cute creatures!
The workshops are 1.5 h in length and each workshop costs £23.99 (all materials included).

If you are travelling to Edinburgh for the world famous Festival and Fringe this August, don't miss our exciting Scottish Lace Knitting Weekend!
Helen Lockhart of Ripples Crafts Scottish Highland Yarns will be here at K1 Yarns Knitting Boutique for the entire main festival weekend, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August! Helen will have her entire stock of beautifully hand-dyed Scottish lace and sock yarns here in the shop for you to swoon over!
Even more exciting, Helen will be conducting a series of Scottish Lace Knitting workshops right here in the shop, to complement a new Scottish Highland Shawl pattern new for this summer! Each workshop is 1.5 hours, but places are limited so please contact us to book your place! The workhop is £25.99 and includes laceweight knitting yarn, pattern and needles. This workshop is not for beginners, we suggest that it is most suitable for knitters who have completed at least 1 project and know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off.
